Greg Mozel
Senior Pastor
Greg has served as our Lead Pastor for 22 years. He casts our church vision, preaches at our worship celebrations, mentors leadership teams, and encourages us to faithfully follow Christ. He is a graduate of Western Evangelical Seminary, George Fox University, Portland State University and Pierce College. He taught at the International Leadership Academy in Moscow, Russia and George Fox University in Portland, Oregon. He serves as a pastoral mentor for Vision New England and Gordon Conwell Seminary. Greg and Carolyn have been married for 33 years with two children. Greg enjoys escaping to the beach, exploring historical sights, and reading thought-provoking books.
Lily Soh
Chinese Ministry Pastor

Lily serves as the Pastor for FBC’s Chinese Ministry. She has been in ministry for more than 30 years. She earned her Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary and her Doctorate of Ministry at Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. Lily serves as a unique bridge connecting the Chinese Ministry with the English-speaking congregation. Lily works among the pastors and volunteer teams to lead our ministries for Chinese students and local Chinese residents to build relationships and foster a culture where everyone feels welcomed and safe to explore their faith and invite friends. Lily enjoys reading thoughtful books and exploring the beautiful scenery of New England.

Nate Daman
Worship Pastor
Nate leads our church family to express our love for God and grow more like Christ through worship. He produces our worship celebrations by planning Christ-centered worship, leading the worship team, collaborating with the choir director, coordinating the media team, training worship artists, and mentoring our worship leaders. For the last 13 years, Nate has served with The Navigators.  He is the Area Representative for the Pioneer Valley and previously served as the Campus Director at UMass and on the staff teams at Penn State University and at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Nate and Caroline have been married for 12 years and are blessed with four children.
Carolyn Mozel
Children’s Pastor
Carolyn has serve as FBC’s KidsWorld Pastor for 12 years so far. She earned her BS in Elementary Education from George Fox University and her MA in Christian Education from Western Evangelical Seminary. Carolyn leads KidsWorld so each child knows the Gospel and grows a Biblical worldview to follow Christ for a lifetime by casting vision,  coordinating the team of 30 leaders, and encouraging parents. She was an elementary school teacher for 8 years. She also teaches the FBC Women’s Bible Study. Carolyn and Greg have been married for 33 years with two children. She enjoys studying Scripture, walking on the beach, reading thoughtful books, and drinking a cup of tea with friends.
Chris Horte
Youth Director
Chris leads the Hub Youth Ministry by casting vision, equipping leaders, teaching Bible truths that speak into the lives of students, and mentoring students to live their faith.    Chris is a student at Gordon-Conwell Seminary earning a Master’s Degree in Christian Studies. He is a graduate of UMass with a Bachelors Degree in Music Performance and previously served as the church’s Choir Director for four years. Chris devoted is life to Christ at FBC seven years ago and sensed a call to ministry while serving in the worship ministry and youth ministry. His little free time is spent studying music production and learning some of the 43 languages among the church family.
Isabelle Kim
College Director
Isabelle coordinates FBC’s college ministry with more than 200 students from Amherst College, Hampshire College, Holyoke Community College, Smith College, Mt. Holyoke College, and UMass.  Isabelle works together with Sam Su, FBC’s interns, and student leadership teams to coordinate agape college worship, growth groups on each campus and weekend retreats. Isabelle is a graduate from Mt. Holyoke College with a degree in neuroscience and behavior. She enjoys drinking coffee, attending musicals, and getting together with students.  Isabelle is grateful to serve among the church family that has helped her grow so much since she arrived as a college student from California.
Sam Su
Worship Video Director
Sam directs digital media for FBC’s online worship and partners with Isabelle to lead our college ministry. He has been an active part of the FBC community since he arrived as a college student. He is a UMass graduate with a BA in Communications focused on film production. He came to UMass from Boston where his father serves as a pastor. He also works as an education support specialist at Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion School. He enjoys photography, basketball, and video games. Sam is grateful for FBC’s investment in the emerging generation that has impacted his life and he is excited to further Christ’s mission through videography and investing in college students.
Erin Ferry
Erin manages the church office, directs our communications, coordinates use of our church campus, and serves as our financial bookkeeper.  Erin graduated from UMass with a BA in History and has worked as a historical researcher at Plymouth Plantation, tour guide at Old Deerfield Village, bank teller with Florence Savings Bank, and for the past 8 years as FBC’s Administrator.  She grew up on Cape Cod and met her husband, Chris, while at UMass. Erin and Chris are blessed with two sons. She enjoys vacationing in Maine with her family, reading historical books, drinking good coffee, and gazing at the stars through her telescope on beautiful nights.
Katy Gore
Ministry Intern

Katy is investing this year pouring her life into FBC college students and serving on the worship team. She is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College with her degree in Theatre Arts and Education. She directed, stage managed, and choreographed multiple theater productions at MHC. She felt God’s call to intern to give back to the church that blessed her so richly during her college years and because of her deep love for the church:  “I grew immensely in my faith at FBC. I’m beyond excited to serve alongside the rest of the college ministry team and church family. I can’t wait to see what God has planned for this year!” Katy enjoys herbal tea, fresh berries, sunsets, and kids of all ages.

Derrick Liu
Ministry Intern

Derrick graduated from UMass with dual degrees in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Mathematics. He is preparing to become a doctor specializing in ophthalmology. God placed a burden on his heart to serve as an intern to help students to connect in community and grow more like Christ. He is passionate about offering space where God’s love is experienced by everyone, whatever their school or ethnicity or interests: “I value the importance that community serves in a student’s life. The FBC community kept me grounded and motivated me to grow in my relationship with God.” Derrick is  a sports junkie who enjoys talking about, playing, and watching all kinds of sports.

Janie Xu
Ministry Intern

Janie earned her UMass degree in Public Health with a concentration in Medicine. She   served many ways during her college experience, leading the UMass Women’s Growth Group, serving on the Agape Worship Team, volunteering in FBC’s children’s ministry, and serving as a barista at Freedom Cafe. “I’m choosing to intern because FBC is where I could really call my faith my own and I learned more about God than ever before. My Growth Group gave me freedom to be vulnerable and ask questions. Now I feel called to give back by showing God’s love and acceptance to students that I experienced as a student.” Janie plays multiple musical instruments, including piano, viola, and guitar.

Research Assistant
Snickerdoodle serves as our Chief Canine Officer. He encourages our pastors while they research, provides late night security for our staff, and keeps everyone relaxed with his joyful tail wagging. Snicker graduated with honors from the Pet Smart Dog Training Classes. His dream is to win a blue ribbon at the Westminster Kennel Club. When Snicker isn’t serving at church he enjoys long walks with his humans, playing with his neighborhood dog buddies, chewing his extensive toy collection, and eating  as much bacon as possible. Snicker has never met a human he didn’t like.
