    During “Everest” VBS this week, children and volunteers have been learning about conquering challenges with God’s mighty power, through the experiences of people in the Bible. Sometimes our own challenges feel like Mt. Everest in front of us! Medical illness. Loneliness. Depression. Job stress. Feelings of failure. Sinful temptations. We’ll explore how God ministered to Elijah when he felt overwhelmed and gave up on life.

This summer we will explore practical themes from Proverbs to seek God’s wisdom about discerning God’s will, making wise decisions, managing finances, protecting against temptation, repairing broken relationships, addressing anger, developing discipline, advancing social justice, etc. Come grow spiritually through the ancient wisdom of Proverbs that has stood the test of time.

This Sunday we’ll learn how we can guard our hearts to seek God and protect against temptations from Proverbs 4:20-27.
