“CASKET EMPTY” OLD TESTAMENT SEMINAR

Saturday October 14  I 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Is the Old Testament sometime mysterious for you? Do you struggle to interpret Old Testament? This CASKET EMPTY seminar takes us on a journey through the Old Testament to see God’s redemptive story throughout history!

The CASKET EMPTY series is designed to grasp the big picture of the Bible, using the memorable acronym CASKET EMPTY. The word CASKET stands for six major periods in the Old Testament: Creation, Abraham, Sinai, Kings, Exile, Temple. EMPTY stands for five major periods in the New Testament: Expectations, Messiah, Pentecost, Teaching, Yet-to-Come. CASKET EMPTY reminds us that the Bible is one redemptive story with Jesus as the center of the story.

Dr. Carol Kaminski will teach this seminar. She if a Professor of Old Testament at Gordon-Conwell Seminary, with her PhD from Cambridge University, and the author of several books.

First Baptist Church of Amherst, at the entrance to the University of Massachusetts, is hosting the seminar at: 434 North Pleasant Street, Amherst, MA 01002. The cost is $20. Space is limited so please register early!
