“It is not the church of God that has a mission in the world,
it’s the God of mission that has a church in the world.”
– Christopher H. W. Wright

The Missio Gathering at First Baptist Church is an event for our entire church family to grow in community, learn about our spiritual gifting for service, and discern how God is calling us to be on His mission in the Pioneer Valley.

Our hope is that through this weekend, you will walk away with a deepened understanding of how God has gifted you and how you fit in the work that God is calling us to do as a church body.

Dates and Times:
Friday, April 5, 6:30pm-8:30pm and
Saturday, April 6 10:00am-4:00pm (there will be a break for people to go get lunch as well!)

Description
The Missio Gathering is spread across Friday night and Saturday, with breaks on Saturday for meals and fellowship. Our first session starts Friday with worship, a speaker, and time in small groups for you to process your results from a spiritual gifts survey. Throughout the day on Saturday we will have further sessions, continuation of small groups, topical seminars, and time for community building over coffee in the Freedom Cafe.
(We will break for lunch, with suggested locations for people to go eat together!)

Childcare:
We are working to provide childcare during sessions and small groups, with fun events for children, to make sure that our families can most fully participate in this important community gathering! Please let us know your childcare needs!
