Growth Groups are communities of 8-12 people who meet in homes or at the church to build relationships, encourage each other, grow spiritually, and serve together. Ten groups are currently meeting in locations around the Pioneer Valley and new groups are regularly forming. Not sure which group might be the best match? Through the Bible Group
Sundays @ 9:30 a.m.
Want the big picture of Scripture? This group is walking through the Bible in a year. Come learn historical background, cultural context, theological themes, and life-application of each book. Childcare is provided. The group is guided by Archie Nebedum at the church.

College Growth Group
Sundays @ 9:30 a.m.
College students and young adults are invited to hear faculty members, grad students, business people, artists, medical doctors, global missionaries, and others from our church share from their lives and lead Bible study discussions. The group meets at church hosted by Pat Kappenman. Krispy Kreme donuts and Starbucks coffee help keep us awake.

This group of people from diverse ages and backgrounds meets to study Scripture and discuss how the truths apply to our lives. Childcare is provided. This group meets at the church led by Stephen Broyles.

Mondays @ 6:30 p.m.
This supportive group meets to build friendships, pray together, study Scripture, and encourage each other to live our Christian faith in our marriages, families, friendships, and work. Stan and Patti Zimmer host this group at the church.

Do you have questions about the basic beliefs of the Christian faith? Does the Bible seem confusing to understand? Are you looking for ways to grow spiritually? Christianity 101 is for you! Christianity 101 is an eight-week group designed to help build a solid spiritual foundation. The group is hosted by Greg Mozel at the church.

Senior Citizen Breakfast

The senior citizens from First Baptist gather for breakfast at Sully's Restaurant in Hadley to enjoy social time together and support each other. This fun group meets every other week and is hosted by Evie Hopkins.

Grad students and young adults (20-somethings & 30-somethings) are invited to eat dinner, pray together, study Scripture, and encourage each other to follow Christ while navigating life after college. The group meets in North Amherst.

Are you looking for a supportive group to study the Bible and build a faith that works in real life? This group is for you! Each week this group of married couples and single adults gathers to encourage each other and study foundational truths of the Christian faith. Ron and Nancy Loescher host the group in South Hadley.

This growth group primarily consists of married couples who are faculty members or graduate students who gather to build friendships, study together, and help each other follow Christ on campus, in our family, and everyday life.
