First Baptist partners with Global Missionaries and Campus Ministers who are reaching students at five college campuses around New England. Our missions partners are engaging in important Kingdom work: helping girls out of prostitution in Thailand, translating Scripture for people in Mozambique, improving public health in Darfur, teaching agricultural development in Congo, flying relief supplies in hard to reach places of Indonesia, and much more.  Most of our mission partners have been sent from our church.

Mission teams from our church also participate in short-term mission trips to spread the Gospel, meet needs, and grow through the experience. Through short-term missions, people thousands of miles away become part of our lives. Through email correspondence, birthday cards, anniversary cards, prayer support, mission trips, and people-group partnerships, the world becomes our mission field.

Our church reaches out to people among the nations to spread the Good News of 10169395_10203657682465984_1743553379_nChrist through church planting, Scripture translation, community development, relief aid, and social justice that reflects God’s beauty. We are dedicated to mobilizing resources (prayer, money, possessions, people) for God’s work here in the Amherst community and around the world.

You can get to know each mission partner through the Missions Directory at church. If you want to learn about ways to support our missionaries or serve in missions, contact Josh Raskin at or 413-549-3596.

Jesus said: “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of
the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
